Terms of use

Plain terms for a free tool.

What this site is

Just A Test Drive is a free scorecard you use in your browser to rate cars after test drives. Lucky Ranasinghe and MADITECH run it. It costs nothing, and you do not need an account.

The site does not sell cars, list cars, show prices, book test drives or contact sellers.

Your decisions are yours

The score adds up the ratings you give. It is not advice, an inspection or a valuation. Check a car's history, recalls and condition yourself, and ask a mechanic you trust before you buy.

Driving safely

Follow the law and the seller's rules on every test drive. Fill in the scorecard while parked, never while driving.

Your data

Your scorecard stays in your browser. The privacy notice covers what happens to feedback you send.

Feedback

Do not send anything illegal, abusive or someone else's private information through the feedback form. If you suggest a category or a change, we may use the idea to improve the site without paying for it.

No warranty

We provide the site as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not liable for decisions you make with it, to the extent the law allows.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the date below when we do. Questions go to [email protected].
